The German electronica tradition meets a classical trained composer of electroacoustic music. The concert introduces a genre mix of electronica, micro minimalism, glitch, electronic listening music and classical music

At this concert audiences can experience the unique result of collaboration between two composers from two different musical traditions. On stage they will form a symbiosis of two expressions in order to create a completely new. Ensemble Contemporánea’s musicians on bass clarinet, violin, double bass and percussion will interact with the computer’s surround sounds live, while the on forehand synchronized video by the Berlin based Lillevan will be shown.

Bretschneider is one of the vital actors on the global electronic scene and is a key figure in the famous label Raster Noton. He is known for his precise sound, complex, interwoven rhythmic structures and his minimal, flowing expression. Kanding, who is the leader of Contemporánea, has specialized in composing for acoustic instrument in interaction with the computer’s many opportunities. A music that ranges from the delicately simple to the complex textures in colourful worlds of mirrors. Lillevan is an animation, video and media artist. Lillevan has performed and collaborated with many artists from a wide array of genres, from opera to installation, from minimal electronic experimentalism to dance and classical music; performed and exhibited all over the globe, and at all the major media festivals.
